CEO and Founder
Dick O’Hare has been a digital media industry veteran for the past 15 years with DoubleClick, AOL and Yahoo. At Yahoo, Dick created and managed the Global Strategic Partnerships and Emerging Marketing Channels team to forge strategic partnerships with Yahoo’s top 25 global clients. In addition, Dick and his team developed and executed monetization strategies for video, mobile and social media.
Prior to Yahoo, Dick was Senior Vice President of AOL Media Networks, where he managed sales and account management teams across six US sales regions. Before joining AOL, Dick served as General Manager of the Business and Technology Network within DoubleClick’s media business.
Dick also has eight years of experience in the offline media industry at CMP Media. While there, he was Publisher of Home PC Magazine, leading it to the #1 position in its category. During his tenure, CMP Media went public and later was sold to United News and Media.
Dick holds a BA in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross and resides in New Canaan, CT with his wife, Claire and three children.
Chief Technology Officer
As Local Yokel Media’s Chief Technology Officer, Mark oversees the development and management of the company’s ad serving infrastructure, administrative tools, data analytics and staffing. He brings to his position almost 20 years of experience in programming, systems engineering and management in a variety of start-up environments, and experience in such industries as Scientific Research, Online Publishing and Ad-tech.
During his nine-year tenure as VP and CTO at Jupitermedia Corp, Mark grew the IT department from three team members to more than 100 employees, while creating and managing technology solutions for e-Commerce, ad serving, content management and search functionality to support more than 150 online properties.
Mark’s prior positions included systems administration and engineering for the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab at UC Berkeley, as well as for the Supercomputer Computations Research Institute at Florida State University, where he also obtained a BS in Physics and Philosophy.
He resides in Westport, CT, with his wife and three children.
SVP Publisher Services
Elizabeth brings more than 20 years of experience in digital and traditional marketing, business development and partnership development to her role as SVP Publisher Services at Local Yokel Media, where she is responsible for leading the development and growth of a robust marketplace of top quality local and hyperlocal websites. In addition to overseeing ad operations and managing revenue partner relationships, she manages the acquisition and support of our valued hyperlocal publisher relationships.
Prior to joining LYM, Elizabeth was a member of the founding team at Greenopia, a leading online publisher of research and ratings of environmentally-friendly businesses and products, where she developed and managed strategic partnerships and revenue. In her role as Director of Sponsorship Marketing for iVillage during the early 'dot-com' days, she assisted major brands with their transition into the world of digital advertising, and in her earlier positions including Assistant Vice President at Bank One/First USA and Director of Marketing for IMG, she specialized in brand-building and strategic partnerships for a variety of sports and entertainment products.
Elizabeth holds a Masters of International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management, and a BA in Business Administration from Loma Linda University. She is passionate about good health, family, travel, fitness, and is a certified Spinning® Instructor in her hometown of Pound Ridge, NY, where she lives with her husband and two daughters.
